I want to buy a new golf driver. But there is so much shit out there, I dont know where to begin. I went and tried out some of the new drivers yesterday, but I dont think I have a good enough game to drop $400 on a driver. I did like the Cobra Amp driver, but what the fuck do I really know. I basically want something that will help improve my game and that I can contol. The driver I have is a Wilson it is from one of those whole sets you buy for like $300.

Last summer I bought some used big bertha irons, 2006 style, and I noticed a big difference, basically wonder if there is some past year model driver you recommend.

I'm looking to buy one too. The ones Wally posted are 50% off right now at my local stores so you can get them for $150.

google them..I'm pretty sure they will show up at a local golf store where you live. I found the Taylor at Sports Authority and the Nike at Golfsmith.

tully, go to your local edwin watts etc. place that has used stuff and Demo clubs ... slap a few balls around in the net and get a feel for a couple you like...leave them a cc and take those to the range and hit a bucket of balls so you can see if what feels good actually is good...if you are a once a month player or so, no reason to drop a ton of cash on anything... a few year old titleist, ping, cobra or tm driver will be more than efficient... but buying a club without actually seeing it in action is a thing of the past...
