It's rained here all weekend so no golf was played. i decided to binge on movies all weekend.

Catch .44 Bruce Willis plays a roll in it but not the central character however the movie itself is along the lines of Pulp Fiction though not as good. I mean it's ok if it's raining out, you're tired of XBox, there's nothing to read and you've already whacked off several times.

Straw Dogs A small town girl who went off to Hollywood, played a small part on a TV show and married a screen writer comes back home. Writer hubby is really out of his element in the backwoods Mississippi town and the locals feed off of his "fish out of water" fears. Actually the movie was a little better than I thought it would be.

Friends With Benefits I don't care, you can call me what you want but I FOK'n LOVED THIS MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I make no secret that I think Mila Kunis is absolutely sexy as hell. I enjoyed the dialog as simplistic as it was. It actually reminded me of GameLive interactions as far as give and take conversations go.

Courageous Ok, I wasn't sure what I was getting into when I started this movie but after about 10 minutes into it I realized I had yet to hear a single cuss word even though a black (this particular dealer was black, could have been any color dealer) drug dealer had already had a scene. Eventually the true direction of the movie unfolded and it was clear that some religious faction had written and produced the movie. It didn't matter though because the message behind the agenda was about fathers being fathers and therefore taking a responsible role in not just providing for but ACTUALLY raising/mentoring and being an ongoing active part in the development of their children. Idealistic sure but still powerful.

Jack and Jill Anything after Happy Gilmore has sucked is all I need to say about an Adam Sandler movie.

uhh :wha: ...common wally...happy gilmore was waaay early.. been plenty of watchable flicks since then, imo.

off top of my head
waterboy ... 50 first dates ... funny people ... longest yard (it was watchable)... big daddy .. mr. deeds (meh, i didnt hate it) ... oh, Wedding Singer was funny as fuck

and there were some more serious roles like... Reign over me(which i thought was a really good flick).. punch drunk love(another watchable that i didnt hate)

but i guess you either love him or hate him...

now that i look up his page, he has a busy year ahead of him...ill watch Thats My Boy... but ill wait and watch online...cant stand comedies at a movie theater

I liked Strawdogs too even though the plot at the end with the pissed off coach, etc. was beyond far fetched to the point where it was laughable.

Next time I hit a retard with my car who just killed the local high school team coach's daughter and a bunch of drunk hicks including the guys who ran a train on my wife and the coach try to burn my house down and shoot me I now know what to do. :greencheck:

Wally might have one of the worst tastes in music/movies I have ever seen

Wally I am not knocking you personally we just have different taste

Wally did you go to see the Abe Lincoln Vampire movie as well :lmao: where he bites Obama at the end of the movie :lmao:

Wally now Obama is going to be a vampire :lmao: for the sequel

Wally tell me you went to see this movie

Tim Burton has lost his fucking mind :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

:bashing:

I love you Wakkyballs but sometimes you're a bit of a, well, a fucking moron.

Sandler's two best movies by far came out after Happy Gilmore. Punch-Drunk Love in 2002 and Funny People in 2009.

Arch there is a lot going on with the swing and the setup. You do rotate your hips on the finish so that is good.

To start with it looks like you drop your right foot back. Not sure if that is intentional to prevent slicing or fading the ball or not. It could be to help you get to the inside but if that is the case then it didn't work.

You basically get very vertical very quickly in your backswing. You want a descending approach into the ball but to me at least it appears as though you are exaggerating it.

You fee t appear to be a tad too close together and you are standing far too erect. Try getting a little flex in the knees. You don't want to completely sit in like a linebacker but you need some flex there.

Arch it's difficult to analyze these things without actually seeing it live but seeing the results as well.

I liked those...

and another serious one, where he plays a crazy guy that had his wife die.... and he hangs with his old high school token black guy buddy, that looks like the black guy from SNL, but isn't the black guy from SNL

I'm just not a fan sorry. Being different is ok. You, RayRay and Coug's would probably bang a smoker and that's ok too.

ok that is a great start. thanks Wally. I'm sure my swing changes day to day. I've been hitting nothing but the pitching wedge and putter for like 13 out of the last 16 days. I've improved a ton just from reps. I'm sure i've hit 25x more wedge shots in the last 3 weeks than the rest of my life combined, so i know i have a steep learning curve.

Not hitting grounders, and balls sideways was step 1!

Ray said something about trying to hit DOWN at the ball. it sounds like you are kinda saying that too. can you explain more or link me to a good vid?

so for now spread my feet apart, more flex and bend, down into the ball?

thanks guys. I'm quickly getting addicted to golf

I think a distinction has to be made though. While Punch-Drunk Love and Funny People may be the two best movies Adam Sandler has been in. (I would put Funny People about on par with Spanglish but whatever) - but NONE OF THOSE are what one would call Adam Sandler movies.

He was just a passenger in someone else's vision in those. A million people could have played his roles in those and been fine.

It is a different discussion to talk about Adam Sandler doing Adam Sandler movies. And in that case, I pretty much agree with Wally. Except I didn't find Happy Gilmore all that remarkably great. And I haven't seen most of them because why would I when I know Adam Sandler movies suck so hard?
