I was in Gatineau, QC, Saturday and I stopped in at a Tim Hortons for a coffee.

The girl behind the counter starts talking to me in bastardized French and I'm like "what the fuck?" I don't understand so I speak in Canada's official language - English and she responded in broken English to take my order.

That wouldn't normally be enough to convince me, but on my way back to Toronto I stopped at a gas station near Kingston, Ontario to get fuel and the car in front of me at the pump had Quebec license plate, the woman gets out of her car and asked me something in bastardized French and I reminded her that she was in Canada now and that we speak English in Canada.

I was mistaken for a French Canadian twice in one day! What the fuck?

The horror.

I don't see it. It's often very easy to distinguish French Canadians from Anglos, but I don't think that anything about your face says Frenchie. Hope you slapped the bitches.

You mean with a name like BetPluemme your not french? Shocking.

20four7, obviously the drugs are wearing off you in a negative way. I like you better when you're high.

Talking about high, good luck with your horse today, hopefully Montini can get your steed high enough to win the race.

Montini reminds me of some of these people:
Bill Robinson, Doug Berkeley, Peter Marostega, Marty Fine, Kevin McMaster, Len Lalonde, Cal Campbell etc.

Montini was most impressive when he claimed that $4500 nag from Windsor and it paced a 1:51 mile on the big circuit here a few years ago.

can someone post some pictures of typical french american people? I drive up to lake of the woods ontario once or twice a summerfor a few weeksor somtimes i fly to winnipeg and drive from there...... But I don't talk to too many locals.... Stu grimson owns the island opposite of ours though, he is a super nice guy believe it or not, and the wayne and keith primeau family have a place up there too...those guys are kinda wild
