I know persons who have put tens of thousands of earnest money up and changed their minds on the deal. It happens..rarely I'm sure...but it happens.

Good point. Never hurts to reserve a place in line in case of "if". You probably already know this but to elaborate I did not mean at all you would be underqualified, what I meant is someone with an accepted contract 9 out of 10 times has approved financing and the deal holds up, the 10th time usually being a shitty inspection (mold, ants, roof damage, etc) that would make you not want the place anyway. I do know that Matty is qualified for nothing but driving his motorcycle around all night and crashing behind whatever bar hasn't kicked him away from their dumpster next but I know nothing about your qualifications or lack there of. At least with the baby arriving he gets the empathy vote from more bars now and has a place to "crash".
