I saw this movie review in wired, the plot doesnt really seem that interesting but the effects are supposed to be pretty phenomenal . Probably not really deep intellectual fare but alot of fun to see on the big screen with a good beer. Definitely watch this one on the big screen.

Pacific Rim Is Literally the Most Awesome Movie of the Summer
"Just ask Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima, whose recent eight-tweet love-letter to the film declared, “I have never imagined that I would be fortunate enough to see a film like this in my life. The emotional rush I had inside me was the same kind I had when I felt the outer space via 2001: A Space Odyssey and and when I had touched the dinosaur in Jurassic Park. Animation and special effects movies and shows that I loved in my childhood days they all truly exist in the screen… This film is not simply a film to be respected, but most importantly, it let us dream the future of entertainment movies. Pacific Rim is the ultimate otaku film that all of us had always been waiting for. Who are you, if you are Japanese and won’t watch this?”
I saw this on trailer site. new trailer for grand theft auto 5. I have never played this game but pretty impressive graphics, I have a friend who works for a a gaming comapny and his art is pretty amazing. I like stuff like rome and some sim stuff but never thought much about this grand theft auto stuff, this looks pretty interesting.
"A sprawling, satirical re-imagining of modern Southern California," the soothing narration said while introducing the video game. "Covering mountains and oceans, expensive stores and strip malls, urban decay and untouched wilderness, beaches and backwoods, the sublime and the ridiculous, greed and hypocrisy."
"The world is not only huge, it's packed with a vast array of things to see and do," the narrator said. "Cars to customize, planes to fly, clothes to buy, sports to play, nirvanas to pursue, oceans to dive, animals to spot, hunt, and be hunted by, freaks to watch, meet, and befriend, bounties to hunt, and on and on."
