Yeah, I get how the technology works; I was more thinking of it from a legal perspective. They must either make you install an app, or visit a website via your mobile device and authorize it to use your location. Otherwise I don't see how they could get that info w/o a warrant.

On the topic of the Wire Act, it shouldn't stop NV-based sportsbooks from taking online sports bets from those located in NV. The Wire Act only applies to those knowingly taking interstate or foreign bets. If they are using IP-based and mobile device geolocation, it would be hard to argue that they were knowingly taking bets from outside NV, given the lengths a bettor would have to go to to circumvent the checks. I know psuedo-online sports betting is already in place in NV, although AFAIK, you are required to be a NV resident to participate, correct?
