Big news for Atlanta with ICE taking over the NYSE it seems. So much of trading is done electronically, I watched a film the other night called floored about the death of physical trading on the floor. I think the shutdown of the NYSE during sandy played a part in this, ICE is one of the world's biggest energy futures market and commodity markets and derivatives are coming to dominate everything, more stuff moving to the cloud and this place seems to have massive electronic trading operations but where is Sandy springs? Atlanta companies preformed the best this year on the stock market and this is big , I wonder if we see the cnbc money honeys broadcasting from Atlanta more. Big money in Atlanta now, Home Depot, Suntrust,UPS,CNN,Coke and now ICE.

Saulty, how far are ICE offices from downtown Atlanta? Congrats Atlanta

I think they will keep the trading floor on wall street but its just a tourist attraction now for the most part. So much of the trading is done electronically. Sandy springs will probably see some enormous real estate deals I would imagine.

I suppose. There is plenty of unused real estate in Atlanta. I don't think they will have a problem getting more real estate.

Do you work for NYSE or ICE?
