He is seeming more and more like a 10 year old kid that doesn't want to have his toys taken away from him and be forced to go to bed. How the FUCK did he get to be mayor? Didn't anyone ever see this coming? Although I live in Toronto, my permanent address is not here so I do not get to vote in municipal elections.

I can't even really follow the story anymore; It's difficult to watch too much; i catch the Coles notes version and thats about it.

On an unrelated topic, I see some possible value in some NHL parlay action this evening and I think I'm going to have to bet on Redskins to get it done on the road -1 currently on Pinnacle

He was elected as a councilor and became popular/noticed because he was always on the list of low spenders - the guy wouldn't spend the money he was given in his budget when many other city politicians would max out their allowances, thats what made him popular. He seemed to always be on the warpath against big spending by the municipal government.

He just kept following up on that strategy of not spending taxpayer dollars - Toronto voters noticed and he became a darling.

The Ford family is wealthy, their father started a successful printing business that that the sons inheirited.

I voted for him, because I was tired of the city always looking for ways to extract more money from the citizens of Toronto because they couldn't contain their wasteful ways.

We all knew he was a bit of a fuckup and boorish but had no idea he had as many demons as he does.

He did a good job in terms of running the city fiscally, but he is not longer fit to be mayor.
 
I guess he must have played down the marijuana conviction and other Fla charges. It's kinda wild to see this type of circus going on. I'm sure it cant help the city too much. Its so fucked up as it is. I think Mayor Ford is on the take and must be smoothing over a lot of things concerning construction and permits etc. The city has never been so fucked up in the 25 yrs that I have been living here. The transit system is antiquated and they have not added any new infrastructure despite building hundreds and hundreds of condo towers. When we get a big rainfall now, most of the downtown core is full of human feces that washes up from the sewers... This City will be a toal shithole within the next 10 years at this rate.
