got an offer in the mail for a free month. comtemplating giving it a try.
dont watch alot of movies but I might start.
does netflix have HBO series on it? specifically the kenny powers show??? 2nd season?

also says it came stream through blu ray? I got one but only watched part of 1 movie on it...
will the streaming movies be in blue ray quitity?

maybe i should axe netflix but thought I'd give GL a try first
 
If the HBO series is out on DVD, they should have it - there are a few HBO series that stream but not very many, I think Dexter only streams the first two series. Eastbound & Down doesn't stream but the first series is available on DVD (the second hasn't been released as a DVD yet). The quality depends on your connection speed and very few people are going to have the necessary speed to get blue ray quality - here is something more on it.

It's great.

Don't expect much that is that good to be streaming. I do recommend Sons of Anarchy and of course the early seasons of Dex.

They do ship the discs super quick and they have been saying for awhile now they will work to upgrade their streaming selection.

And depending on the device you use to stream a Netflix movie to a TV, you may not be able to obtain HD or Blu-ray quality, regardless of the speed of your connection



what does this mean? I have broadband, an HDTV and bluray player...
wouldnt that be optimal devices for high quaitly
 
Broadband speeds can be very different. I have to pay extra here just to get 4MB down which would be slow in the USA.

USA is way behind many countries in speed though. In South Korea for example internet speeds are much faster than available most places in USA>

Global Connection Speeds
Globally, the average connection speed once again increased, both quarter-over-quarter and year-over-year, reaching nearly 2 Mbps. Taiwan’s 24% quarterly growth was the most significant among the top 10 countries/regions, enabling it to achieve an average connection speed of 5 Mbps. In examining the average peak speeds around the world, only four countries/regions had speeds of 30 Mbps or more – South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong and Romania.
