Went to the show at the Georgia Dome on Saturday. It was awesome!!

Great Saulty, but was there any planes or helicopters flying around over head like Wally Park has! I wonder if those seats with the blue tarp over it ever use to have fans in them until an accident or two occurred?

Wally! The sound was incredible almost as loud as a helicopter. The tires of these trucks are 6-8 feet tall and they can easily climb the concrete fence around the pit. If the throttle is stuck on one of them it can easily climb up beyond the blue tarp. We had a great vantage point from the mezzanine.

i'd never seen them in person until we went to some big county fair up north in illinois near wisconsin last year.


it was a super cold summer day, like under 60 degrees and the fair was pretty damn boring, other than getting to see some budweiser clydesdales.

I think we drove 60 mins there, and had spent about 45 mins there and were ready to leave. But if we waited 30 more minutes in the stands we could see some monster trucks.

we decided to stay, but did't expect much

I really really thought it was pretty cool and Big Al enjoyed it more than me. It was just a dinky little track/course they had, but it was still impressive to see and hear up close.

we both ended up just spontaneously standing up yelling and clapping.... gettting really into it.

it was bewildering but it was like we were under a monster truck trance
