This is some of the new technology and it's pretty cool. I had a traveling internet card a long time ago when I used to travel the state habitually but it was pretty slow. Do to recent changes I found myself in the industry once again and there are a variety of choices. I initially bought the Verizon 4G Mifi Lite and was initially amazed at its blazing speed. Customer service was perfect too for what we needed. The coverage only cut out a little bit on a route that went through the sticks and from what I read it is the best in the industry. The downside to the Verizon is the service is expensive, $60 for 3 Gigs. The overages are disgusting rapage but we went prepaid so we won't have to worry about that. Because my main concern is coverage in my travels this Sprint or AT&T are good plans for someone like myself who won't be using it as their primary internet, for those looking to do that you might want to check out Netzero's option (YES they made a comeback) or Choice; their coverage is much spottier but they have unlimited plans for under $50 so if they cover your residence it could be a good choice. As usual it looks like Verizon has smoked the field as far as having the bar raised and they make you pay for the best product.

Yeah it seems like Verizon is always ahead of the field and if you want the best you have to pay much more. I will be curious to keep an eye on Netzero's coverage in the next year or two, from what I read other than coverage their product is right up there they could make a serious run in the Mobile Hotspot industry based on pricing if they could get their chit together.

LG Optimus but it's on the Straight Talk Network because I need unlimited everything for $45, if I used a major carrier for how much I use I'd be spending $400+ a month. Yeah my boss was telling me his does that too.

The major carriers' smart phones have all the "bells and whistles" if you will where you can set up hot spots, etc. The prepaid carriers such as Straight Talk are just recently developing smart phones so where as the $45 everything is unbelievable you don't have 1/2 of the features from someone such as Verizon. What it would entail is a massive amount of minutes on the phone where I would have to pay a major carrier a good amount of money.

A variety reasons and really not just for driving. For instance at a place I am moving from I thought we wouldn't be back there so I had the internet shut off so now we have a solution. For Hotels yes sometimes the connection is good but other times it blows, plus Hotel wifi is among the biggest hotbeds for hacking.

ahh...i see :eyes: .. and i take you have already checked out all that stuff in depth?... i know the hot spot shit can be very expensive and isnt on any of those "everything" plans :donthinkso: ... my sprint runs me $125($15 of that goes towards international call/text) for the evo 4g lte... unlimited minutes/data/all that shit... but i know you are pretty much a hardcore abc phone guy and the unlimited talk is really your main concern... but there are options with the big carriers, but nothing less than 100 a month i doubt for as much as you are doing business... 400 seems really really high

Yup did a good amount of research last night, I have thought about Sprint but we do travel a decent amount anymore, will further analyze after the move. Our Net is lik $65 a month and this would be $60 but the main thing is coverage....I appreciate the input on Sprint everyone who has them seems to like them. How is your coverage with them? Correct on the minutes for both of us.

my coverage is good and the scattered 4g is slowly getting better...but ya know, it changes from state to state and you never know what you are gonna get... depends on the amount of towers, i suppose...i cant honestly say that i have even made a call, while roaming, in the last few years, so im no help there

:lmao:

Only when she's driving man. At my online poker peak it was 4-6 tables while doing 80 on I-76 driving but those days are over....I'm glad I lived through them :megaman:

Ray, I hear on the Evo that the only problem with it is that the battery life sucks....true?

on the original EVO, yes... it sucked hardcore... the new EVO 4g lte is so much better its like night and day... battery life of like 7.5 talk hours (8 with iphone, 9 with galaxy)...but i read all over the place that when running the same apps, the new evo bat.life lasts quite a bit longer than the iphone...you can simply do a shitload more multitasking with less battery on the thing...

i dont always buy the new stuff that comes out...but this thing is a fucking machine... i love the big hd screen (some might think its a little too big.. :dunno: ) ... but for having open sportsbooks/ lines service/ poker/ watching tv etc. its awesome. (uses chrome browser too, which is so user friendly)

skyvi voice is the bomb for android phones(like iphones Siri)... bitch on here laughs at me when i fuck up a hard vietnamese word... she says "haha, i dont know what you are trying to say...do you? " fucking whore :robyn:

if you guys decide on verizon or at@t, this phone is also called the OneX ... for those networks... same phone basically... slightly different exterior without a kickstand...
