According to numerous sources; odd how the waiver wire is meant to be top secret but the minute a big name gets put on it, it always comes out.
Manny has played 63 games this season and has been 0-7 after his latest return from the DL; however he is a free agent at the end of the season and any team claiming him will be hoping he can recreate his .396/.489/.743 line for the last two months of the 2008 season with the Dodgers. To make things more interesting, the White Sox gained a game on the Twins yesterday and sit 3.5 games back in the AL Central going into today's games.
