Lucky you!!! I pay about $50/month just for water and my yearly property tax is $3800/year. When I purchsed my current home my property tax was $1750/year and that was 7 years ago. FUCK!!!

most of the time they do estimate the meter, at least here they do
I called them out on it one time cause the bill didnt make sense. they came and checked the meter and corrected the bill

our electric will run $250-$300 per month in the summer. think it was $280 for june. but we're in a co-op out here, so you get rebated part of the yearly profits depending on how long you've had power. our 2010 rebate was like $150.

last water bill was $89.94 according to the mrs. will be $45-$50 in winter months when i'm not watering the garden and a few of our oak trees. i do not water the 'lawn' since we really don't have a lawn except in the winter/spring when i spread a couple hundred pounds of rye seed.

sewage, we don't pay due to having a septic. guess we paid that up front, or i should say the bro-in-law did when he built this house.

two high-speed fiber lines for internet, those and cable run roughly $150 per month.

thanks to a new A/C unit last yr. the new unit made a huge difference over the 20 yr old outdated unit that was a POS

i can understand why my shit will never be less than 350 or so...ever... i keep my pool motor running year round and i have 2 tv's in my office on all the time and i usually have someone else here watching tv downstairs too... the whole new sewer shit has gotten me upset though...i did see a guy reading my water meter last week, but havent seen anyone reading my other elec.meter in quite some time...even if they do it quarterly, they are fucking me hardcore...and i know they wont come out and read it every month...im getting ready to make a huge stink at the next open to the public city council meeting in a few weeks... its flat out stealing and my local govt. is already crooked enough. im sure we are going to see some record numbers from MLGW and i dont doubt it if someone goes postal up in that place from getting cheated out of money...

fuck yeah...it was going to be a little day project for me and i was actually looking forward to fucking with it....had a couple guys from the DYI forum going to walk me through it, but the damn broad went over my head and called some friend of a friend...apparently i fucked up the a/c transformer and fuse...$250 later, its fixed...i hate when people do that shit without asking you first...ya know? i would have liked to learn something new and probably been half the cost, but oh well...at least i didnt electrocute my ass
