Chicago is obviously very tough, especially at home, and the Kings are still without their best player in Drew Doughty. But they might be worth a look at +money, considering they've owned Turco in recent years...

Last year Turco was 0-2-1 with a 2.92 GAA and an .889 SV% against the Kings. 2-1-3 in '08-'09 and 3-2-2 in 07'-'08 against the Kings, that makes him 5-11 moneyline against them over the last three seasons.

Turco is a great goalie, but he is prone to getting rattled, and something about playing against the Kings brings out the worst in him. Obviously plenty of other things to factor in here, but getting a 6-2 team at +money against a goalie they tend to do well against isn't bad.

Has it been confirmed yet that Turco will even be given the start? I have yet to find a reliable source this year that shows who is getting the start....annoyed that goaliepost.com sarted charging a membership fee..

This is all factored into the line, is it not?

To some extent...yes.

Ooooh, okay. I didn't realize that Marty Turco's struggles against the Los Angeles Kings were as common knowledge to bettors as Cliff Lee's dominant pitching. Sorry for bringing it up Game Live, please feel free to delete this thread.

Well I am not completely defending Herman here but I will say that probably 90% of people that bet hockey look into these sorts of things. Hockey is not a mainstream sport and definitely not bet like any of the other big 3. Even your average fan isn't going to bet hockey but might bet football. I am not saying there is no value in this play...as there very well might be, I honestly haven't looked much into it but I am saying that there is an ELEMENT of truth to what herman says.

Sure. But then, aren't there plenty of posters on Game Live that are maybe just casual bettors that may not look into something like this that may find it interesting? I probably wouldn't post this on a hardcore hockey betting forum (does such a thing exist?), but in the "Hooligan's Talk" section of GL, I figure I'd share.

Apparently next time, I shouldn't.

Dave, no one is bashing you because of information you shared? I think you took my post the wrong way. I was just saying that to produce more discussion....I look forward to these little nuggets of info.

No, you are quite right. Sorry if my response came off as attacking you or anything, it wasn't meant to. I mean obviously none of this is going to slip through the cracks on linemakers or anything, I know that too.

Herman is just making the point that you can't handicap games at all. He's like a miniature version of that piece of shit Nicky. On a sports gambling message board, he feels the need to constantly point out that having an opinion or noticing a cool trend isn't allowed and won't matter because bookmakers already know it.

He's so fucking sharp, after all.
