Let's do this gentlemen. Montreal in June is badass. We have two excellent options - let us know which one would work best for you:

1) F1 weekend on June 8-9-10

Pros
Perfect early-summer weather
F1

Cons
Presence of a large contingent of F1 douches

2) First weekend of the Jazz Fest, June 29-30 & July 1st

Pros
Downtown area is turned into a hooge all-day boozefest
Most Canadians have July 2nd off, so we can make it into a 4-day mayhem

Cons
No F1

In both cases, you'll need to book a hotel room at least a month in advance - the earlier the better. I'll be glad to help with hotel selection. I don't suppose that very many of you will wanna go to the race, but in case you change your mind once you're there, general admission tickets can be had cheaply and last-minute.

Jazz fest sounds more appealing. I have never been to an f1 race though. I guess whichever wins the popularity vote, I will try to hit.

I prefer the Jazz fest weekend. Not really into watching cars go by. I am assuming people will be staying right down town. Will book into the travelodge montreal. Small rooms but cheap for downtown and clean.
