He tried to make it look like a suicide, etc. etc.

This has been a long time coming....this case should have been settled long ago. I think the reason why he didn't get more was because it wasn't an intentional murder, it truly was an accident but he did try to cover it up (unsuccessfully). He already settled a long time ago with the limo driver's family so he basically admitted guilt.

I think he might actually get more time due to a couple other recent brushes with the law but they couldn't rule on those until this case was done.
