i met my deductible yet i'm still getting bills for more than i should owe

i need to/want to (need to) see a psychiatrist and there are only 4 in my network... 4 in all of NYC. and i didnt pay for the more expensive out of network insurance.

wtf is the point of having insurance if i still have to fucking pay for everything out of pocket

insurance will only cover a few-handful of shrink visits anyways... or they will only cover part of your sessions...if you want to see a shrink and start therapy for something, get used to paying out of pocket

CGNY, what is your issue/issues? Please explained to us in detail what you need to/ want to (need to) see a shrink for!

Gamelive will charge nothing for our services! A psychiatrist has only book knowledge while posters here at GL IMO have personally experienced the gambit of issues that would require seeing a shrink! Let us help you!

I'm far from a socialist. I just feel there should be lines drawn in the sand.

You may indeed be far from a socialist, my point is that you would be considered a socialist by most Americans because of your beliefs (gov't healthcare, jails, education).

It is their belief that for profit business is the only way to go.

When I use the terms socialist and communist I am doing so mockingly.
In the US it is an insult to be called a socialist, I think.

Fiver, I share many of your beliefs.

Yeah, it seems the Obamacare stuff is just gonna shuffle some money around between business and government and provides little help for the public. Monkey, I know you've talked about paying cash for doctors etc. I was considering seeing one and just paying. But I don't even know who accepts cash. As far as I can tell the first question when you try to make an appointment is: whats your insurance?

What did you do?

Cali, my insurance expired, in a couple of weeks I will be on the hunt for new insurance. I don't fucking get why I have to pay $80 a month, plus whatever co-pay there may be. :dunno:
I hate shrinks, they never help. They only tell me and ask me the same shit my friends would, I think I will stick to just using them.

Try reading your contract and understanding your coverage before agreeing to it. If you don't understand a provision ask your HR department.

You say what is the point if you have to pay everything out of pocket... I think you would be floored if you got a bill for literally everything.

I'm looking forward to being insured.
