I am gonna be the different voice here Casper. IF you feel that she is it for you then no you don't give up. But you have to be prepared for a lot of hurt. And you have to realize it will take time. You stay her friend. And you let her know of your feelings for her and be honest in that they won't change. that it won't matter what she chooses, you will still be there loving her. You have to give her the space and freedom to come back. And like I said earlier, its the little things that will get to her. You support during the good times. You are there in the bad. You stay constant. Be calm and constant.

If you check my comment, I did not say give up and move on. For the record.
 
Ignore them, Casper. People will tell you that you are nuts, that you need to move on. What you actually need to do it be true to yourself. If your heart tells you that she is "the one" then you stay true to that and have your actions show it.
 
We can all agree starting that thread was stupid, but you guys act like you have never made any relationship mistakes. If I recall he didn't speak badly of her in that thread, and in fact put the blame on himself. I think he only said nice things about her. Making it public was dumb, but it was not his intention to hurt her. Plenty of worse things that people do and that people forgive.

The only thing I question is what Nina wondered...if this isn't perhaps at least subconsciously an ego bruise. Seems like you didn't realize that you wanted to make a life with her until after she got a new boyfriend. I think in true love you know and it shouldn't take someone else in the picture to make you realize that.

Whatever happens, you are young. All of us has had their heart broken to the point where we thought we would not get over it. And we all did.

I'm still trying to figure out how she has a new bf in 5 days though... Was this someone she knew before?

And you may be right Reno but focusing on Casper's sorry state at least distracts me from my own rant worthy issues.
