Another option is to get this set of impact sockets, they'll be on sale for 60 bucks starting tomorrow: http://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/t...-impact-socket-set-0589146p.html#.U0cpR_ldWSo

I assume you can use impact sockets with a ratcheting wrench? I have a good Mastercraft Maximum 1/2" wrench, it's just my sockets that suck.

lets not confuse ratcheting wrenchs with ratchets...

That link for impact sockets is actually for a impact gun that gets used with a compressor.

I think you really just mostly 3/8 drive stuff and 1/4'' stuff. 1/2'' is kind of cumbersome when you don't really need it.

1/2" is pretty much needed to remove lug nuts and shit.

I had to stand on the fokken wrench to get my fokken oil filter housing out the other day. Assholes at the shop overtorqued it by an order of magnitude.

dude then just keep some of these.

I mean get the 3/8ths deep well...but those holders are nice.

well..depending on what you are doing....guess that's why they make all three sizes....having what works best is always nice.

I have to use a pipe sometimes to give me extra leverage. It's a little ghetto I guess, but it works for me.

holy shit I'm going to marry tim the toolman with a vaj and tits

What can I say when you're a single lady, you gotta learn to do shit for yourself!
I always enjoyed shop in school too.
Runs in the family, my dad, my brother, and I, are all tinkerers and do it yourself people.

Oh yeah, and I worked at Sears in the tool department for a year or two when I was in my early 20s, I learned a lot working there. I was a good salesman too.

We call that a cheater bar cami....and its all good..way to recognize length equals leverage.

Went to the store at 8 to pick 'em up. LOL. Ima need a bigger backpack. The case is massive and weighs something like 30lbs. Need to go back with a car over lunch.

Now THAT's what I call a socket set.

:excellent:
