A lot of discussion of Eric Lindros leading up to the announcement. I would vote for Lindros.

His career was shortened by injuries but he did enough. There was a significant time he was the very best in the world or right there with the best. That's always what I look for. I want my HOFers in all sports to have been dominant at something important for a time.

Like I would not vote for Mike Gartner. 708 goals but never anywhere near the best. Never a guy that would be anywhere in the discussion of who you would build a franchise around. I wouldn't vote for it.

Lindros though, yes.

Rambling further on the subject of Eric Lindros, apart from his excellent NHL achievements, here's another thing: at one time he had played more games for various Team Canadas than anyone, including Wayne Gretzky.

Many of those appearances resulted in international gold medals and championships. But injuries cut that short like everything else.

Anyway, as I say, I vote him in.
