I know you guys don't do trend based capping and I do so we aren't gonna debate the pro's and con's but I would like to know what you think about the Minnesota/Vancouver game.

My work suggest the OVER 5 (-120) but I generally hate playing an OVER on 5. I am also seeing that the home team is 9-1 in the last 10 meetings and along with that the winning team has cover the PUCK LINE 8 out of 10 in the past head to head meetings.

I do some trend-capping, depends on the trend and it's relevance. Daft can hammer us both in 3-2-1-

I haven't looked at much hockey the last couple of weeks. I use the team blogs at SB Nation. Injuries in hockey are hidden more and the media coverage in the US isnt near as good as in Canada.

Back to your question, I like the over more at first glance if it was hit overnight, like this is. I wouldn't play the over if the under was -120. I guess wait and see what the pinny movements are when the limits are raised.

Pucky, I haven't search enough to support it so I can't give you an honest opinion other than to me a 5 in hockey is the same as a 6.5 in baseball. When they drop below the average total it's for reasons that suggest a defensive/pitchers game.

I wouldn't go promoting to anyone that my way is the right way though. It's just a personal thing.

Casper if you have those kinds of numbers and they aren't all -190 favs you would be the hockey guru around here and elsewhere if you were posting them. Casper, I like the change but you know records are only good if posted and tracked.

Wally, they are posted and tracked. In fact, I have been posting them and emailing them to my clients since the beginning of the NHL season. I just don't talk about it much here. I know you guys hate tout talk.

I would say check out my blog.

And the plays are average -110.

You are right though. I will not mention my record here. I am just happy right now how well NHL has been so far this year. I apologize for sounding like a douche.
