My phone battery is dying. I was looking at a battery kit on Amazon. It seems like a fun project for me to try. I like my phone. LG Nexus5 and it's way cheaper than buying a new one and I'm cheap when it comes to electronic crap.

I got a battery for $22 on newegg.ca and it comes with a tool kit... beats buying a new phone

It's a PITA to do. Probably better off getting a new phone.

I did it on an iPhone 4S with a kit bought at ifixit.com. Newer phones seem a lot more fiddly, I prolly wouldn't attempt it now.

My 6S's battery is nearly shot, but I get to upgrade the phone at the end of the year anyway, will just tough it out.

As is, Im only getting about 4-6 hrs of life at the best.. so either way the phone is toast. worth the gamble at $22.

I got off easy and it took about 5-10 minutes to change the phone battery (included Youtube watching).
