I once went to a Grateful Dead show in Orlando. Stayed in the parking lot and never went inside and had one of the coolest days of my life just hanging out with people.


That must be the appeal. Because it sure as hell ain't the music.

Pretty sure it's common knowledge that Jam Band shows are mostly popular due to the atmosphere provided.

Jerry Garcia died like 20 years ago. I remember, cause I was broke sitting on my ass, listening to a radio talking head going off on how Garcia was a bad example to children.
Myself, yeah I never gotten into that music.

My brother has a thing where he will occasionally email a YouTube link of some music. Some arbitrary song. My reaction - which I keep to myself - is almost always, "Why are you sending me this? What do you expect me to do with it?"

But he is probably sitting there alone all drunk and getting emotional about some damn thing so he figures ---> send it out.

Sometimes it is The Grateful Dead.

Jerry died after their last show in 95. At Soldier Field.

They are back there this July, 4th- 20 years later.
