Made a thread about this before, but a month ago i got a job at Pepsi as a warehouse loader driving a forklift/pallet jack around a filling orders. Got picked up today perminant and already got a raise to there B range. After all the negatives comments ive read about the company im very impressed. Managment is laid back and work volume far exceeds the workers. i can work 75 hours a week if i want and make a killing or i can just do my 40. Quit my job at Target because the money there isnt needed. PepsiCo seems like a great company and i hope to be there for a few years.
:square:,

anyone who has warehouse experience or just wants a job that they can make 70k a year with no degree i suggest applying at pepsi.

Not to mention never having to ever buy soda again.

I think it's safe to say you have to grind out 75 hours a week to hit the $70K mark at that job.

If it's anything like breweries, that is incorrect. Huge money in bev. companies who don't even seem to mind their greedy unions.

There's also a very good reason these warehouse jobs pay well.

UTEOT I worked a summer at Pepsi as a delivery driver aide, some 15 years ago - these guys were extremely overworked and stressed out, cramming 2 normal days' work into one crazy 12-hour shift. I guess that's the culture there. Better you than me!

probation period is obviously 90 days like most jobs but since im becoming part of the union next week im pretty much protected. They expect you to load 160 cases a hour. which sounds easy as hell but half the time u spend driving around waiting to get your product, skrink wrapping/ waiting for a label to print so it can get difficult. As far as stressed out all the employee's there that have been there 5+ years all seem happy with it.

As far as cramming it at the beginning of the day they give us the total and we kinda as a group decide if we wanna milk it or try to get the work done fast so we can leave. on Saturdays we go in at 2pm and well usually bust our ass do 200 cases per hour and try to get out in 6 hours.
