All week they've been totally screwing up the markets in the tennis section, leaving some out, mixing up the start times on others and generally just looking incompetant. Today for instance, they only got one of the semifinal matches for Indian Wells opened, and they put a start time two hours late for it.

I got on their live chat and got "hung up on" by some cunt named Monica twice before I got someone who would listen to what I was saying and act on it. Monica would just say "We use the order of play to open markets" and then would leave the chat session abruptly.

I have to say that this is a new low for a sportsbook, even 5Dimes would call me stupid but never just hang up on me. Obviously I need Matchbook for their lines, but I really wish I had a better option. The second I get a hint of a hiccough with their payouts I'm getting the hell out of there. I just don't get a good feeling out of their stability anymore.

I'm hoping in the near future that Betmaker will step up and offer a better product than matchy. At the moment this doesn't look like its going to happen.

I keep checking the betmaker site to see what liquidity is like.

That doesn't sound good.

I love Matchbook and would go so far as to call it the foundation of my business - but I use it for very specific things. Full game spreads, totals and ML's on MLB, NFL, NBA and, to a lesser extent, NHL and college sports.

Outside of those things, my impression is it is pretty sketchy. Even with the NHL and college sports, it is only barely useful/tolerable - but at least they get start times right.

I'm of the same mind with Betmaker, I have high hopes that look like they'll never come to fruition. Without a concerted marketing campaign (which their higher commission structure should support) they'll never get enough players to reach critical mass and become a real exchange. The market is so ripe for the picking I have no idea what holds CRIS back, except for the fear that they could lose current customers to the exchange format. I'd love to get a CRIS representative posting here and pick his brain.
