Floyd The Cat Not Doing So Well

My cat has hit a bad run the last few weeks (and it was bad timing with the vacation thrown in there) but basically he started having problems breathing, so we took him to the vet, went through a shot and some antibiotics, but didn't get better and he started eating less. Now he won't eat anything unless I force it on him and he's lost quite a bit of weight. We took him to another vet and he gave him another shot and more antibiotics (stronger this time). I am hoping the stronger dosage works cause I love the little guy and he's been with me for almost 12 years now. Rally for Floyder Gamelive...

Yes Nina I am sorry about your cat as well, I didn't see that thread, I thought when someone mentioned you lost your cat that you just couldn't find it.

The weird thing is he will eat treats all the time, I could give him 50 of them.

But he won't touch wet food, dry food, I even busted out the albacore tuna today and he ate a bit but not enough.

He is drinking water. However, I always catch him in the shower trying to drink from the leaking faucet, so I have been shutting the bathroom door.

the day before I took Sadie to the vet she would only eat or drink if I carried her to her bowls and stood over her.

I have heard that baby food works with some cats. Others you have to blend the food up and put it in a food syringe to get them to eat. I have tried everything.
