Family Traditions

We used to nag and bug the shit out of our mother to let us open a gift on Christmas eve, she finally gave in one year and that has been a family tradition ever since, the kids each get to open one small gift on christmas eve.

Another started when I was a kid, We put candy canes on our tree, and when we are done decorating we each pick one off the tree and have some hot coco.

Another one that started when I was a kid and still do, we have ornaments that were bought for us over the Christmases, each person gets to hang their own ornaments that they got the previous years.

What are you're family traditions?
I don't mean your average eat a meal and blah blah blah thing, ones that are special and unique to you and your family?

I also opened one present on Christmas Eve as tradition.

We had oyster stew on Christmas Eve every year with fresh oysters that my brother brought from Boston

We had this old pair of shoes that got wrapped up kind of as a gag gift and was rerouted to diff family members over the years. I am not sure of the history of that really..it started before my time, but I remember it.

lol...it's their mommy that does it. I just sit here and look cute. But that always is the signal that its time to change into said pj's and go to bed so Santa and his elfs can work their magic

outside of something big from dad and something from whatever broad is giving me a fucking headache at the time, i dont really get any xmas presents anymore(could it be because of my overly nice demeanor ) ... i loan my brother so much money every year, i tell him not to get my a present with my own money...so we dont really mess with it.. it works for me. so i guess to answer the question, the only xms tradition i have is loaning my brother money
