Experience with Xpads/Laptop cooling items?

It has become imperative I need one of these. My Gateway (hate on Gateway all you want, paid for by work) overheats or thinks it's overheating a lot where pretty much I cannot watch anything animated on it or blip it's off. It always comes back with nothing wrong, it's a common thing especially in Gateways where they prematurely power down because they think they are overheating.

You can get most any one at Best Buy. I like the ones with 2 fans minimum on them.
