The other morning on the streetcar, an old guy was shaking his head at a group of girls that were typing their teenage lives away on their smart phones. He turned to me and said:

"This reminds me of the 60's - women decided that they were not going to let men dictate their lives anymore... so they all went out and became stenographers."

 
Bought the book, but haven't been able to get through it. I did not enjoy the movie.
