ive said before,, i dont usually watch any tv shows on the tv...tvs are for sports...i stream tv shows from dailyflix.net and watch on computers... but i cant do without sports on the tvs... if you dont mind watching shows an hour or so after they air and having limited sports to watch, this looks okay to me, stevies...just hope your main stream sites didnt get chucked

Don't look at me. I never sucsesfully canceled. However, I have always pared down what I am buying. Lower cable, slower internet, no DVR, one box, no premium channels. It's so easy to say, "well for 5/mo I get 100 extra" or whatever but just say no. I think entry level cable and internet is a good luxury to have.

my dtv runs around $100 without any special sports packages(nfl or nba) for 2 reg boxes and 2 hd boxes... that includes hbo/showtime/skinemax and something else that i dont watch...i imagine its a lot less without that shit on there...you should look into seeing how much basic dtv runs you... you can always run hdmi from the laptop to the tv and stream the shows that run on those movie channels

I haven't had cable in about three years. I also haven't watched a down of football in about three years. Although I was at a pub on Sunday and caught a bit of that Detroit-Philly snow game. I think next year I'm just going to purchase that NFL streaming package. I think it works out to about $40/mo.

We pay $60 for satellite. No premium movie channels. Get most sport channels. Don't have internet at home. We use the phone data plan. No land line at home. So we pay $150 combined per month for 2 cell phones and satellite. That's it.

Whoa.. Don't even know what that is. Though I assume it's a block on US based content.

We use - netflix, hulu, amazon, HBO Go, Plex (streams ripped DVD's from my desktop - much like itunes or hard line but wireless), and most recently ESPN 3.

Yeah, unblock-us is a VPN which allows me to receive all those things Americans get naturally.

Even though I couldn't get my VPN to work on Roku I could still tell it was a very good streaming device, and it was pretty cheap too.

Apparently the Boxee is easy to use with a VPN so I'm thinking of picking up one of those. Or just use a damn HDMI cable from my laptop/
