I figured the preoccupation with pets is systematic of a foked up culture of isolation. Where people lack ability to interact meaningfully socially. ...but I could be wrong

I don't actually want anyone's big dangerous dog up in my business either, but just the fact that people are capable of occupying their hearts and minds with something besides work and lawn maintenance and how freaked out they are that some people are different than them ---> I find it heartening.

Like music. It always pleasantly surprises me how much people are invested in something as pointless as music. Just cuz it's nice.

Pets and music ---> they're the main reasons I haven't wiped out the human race.

It's not like I hate dogs, I just don't get them. I see ones I think are adorable and want to hug then I hear about the next one that attacked a child so I'm like yeah, I don't know.

Cali I'd enjoy hearing specific posts about how much you enjoy your dog and why because really I want to know because next time I am in someone's home if I know how to befriend a dog by deeply think it is cool, well then that's just cool.
