I found about 25 comics in a box the other day at mom house, dont think they are worth anything, the are from 1989 -1991. Will probably end up giving to my buddies kid or throwing them out once, I do some quick research to see if there is any value.

I still collect sports cards and coins.

I was never into comic books, but my grandma got me some for my birthday one time (presumably from a garage sale or something). I have #2 of the first Iron Man series. No idea what it's worth.

I had a ridiculous baseball and football card collection when I was a kid. My brother and I had a paper route and used to spend all of the money we made at card shows. And if we couldn't afford a card, we'd steal it. Some of the vendors were really stupid.

I still buy sports cards for shits and giggles. I bought a handful of packs of the new O-Pee-Chees and gave a couple each to my brothers at Christmas. Joe Rain got a special Patrick Roy "rookie" card. I got bullshit.

In my freshman year of college, I sold two Topps Stadium Club Brett Favre rookie cards for $60/each (I had six of them I think) so I could get annihilated that weekend.

I ended up passing out in an alley and puking all over myself before walking back to the dorms. I got some stares walking down State Street. And my roomate had to put me in the shower with my clothes on.

I'd say that was a good trade.

yep, Mattingly was the biggest thing when I was into it. The '84 Donruss is really a beautiful set.

I went on a little kick of buying cards again last year after noticing a nice "61 Ed Matthews at a memorabilia shop for $15. over it again

Well there's a point. I was assuming superheroish, but if we're talking just comics in general, I've got a good bunch of Bloom Country, Doonesbury, The Neighbourhood, Calvin and Hobbes, Herman, Dilbert - even some Peanuts and B.C. and Andy Capp going back to the 60's and maybe further. Thoroughly beaten up though.

I was taking a quick look there and made an interesting discovery. Hopefully Reno is listening. I found a book called SOVIET HUMOR: The Best of KROKODIL. Copyright is 1989. I have pulled it out and will check what's in there in the next little while.

Iron Man #2 from the first series is worth $15-150 depending on condition. Prolly $25 with no rips, tears or writing but some reading creases general wear and some yellowing of the pages. Top condition and graded? $300 easy.

Interesting. I'll have to dig out next time I go to my parents house.

I don't think I've ever read it.
