I'm on Southern Miss as well but I am really bothered by the reverse line movement here. I thought this line would only go up and I got it at the open at -5.5. It's gone down 2 whole points and everywhere I check public numbers at has a decided edge on the Southern Miss side.

Few reasons for the movement I can see. Offensive coordinator for La Tech has fared well against South Miss with Auburn and Midd Tenn the past few years.
La Tech has been pretty impressive at home last few years with only losses to Boise St. and close loss to Nevada last season and Navy last week (10-3).
Historically, Tech has dominated opponents AT HOME with a 118-48-2 record, a winning percentage of 70-percent.
They are under a new head coach this season who has yet to get them a win. They do have some shmuck on their team guaranteeing a victory.

Liked this game when it opened, but the movement has me a bit cautious.

Good observations/thoughts on the RLM.

While I treat RLM and public betting like gospel in the NFL, it just never seems to translate when I pay attention to it in college game. Maybe because the sample sizes of bettors aren't large enough, maybe because these are just fucking kids that are more unpredictable, or maybe my own personal sample size isn't big enough. But RLM and being on the "square" side scare me much less in college, for whatever reason.
