Charlie Sheen was smoking cocaine while he critiqued porn on his TV set for hours before the 911 call ... TMZ has learned.

Sources who were present at Charlie's house during his 36-hour party tell us ... after a man delivered a briefcase full of cocaine to the house early Wednesday morning, Charlie pulled out a small green pipe and started smoking cocaine continuously ... for hours.

There are many wild details, but we're told eventually Charlie ended up in his theater room with one of the porn stars with whom he was partying. They watched 3 hours of porn, as Charlie critiqued the action on the screen.

We're told Charlie, who fancies himself as a porn connoisseur, was questioning his companion about angles and body shots. We're told the porn star was "surprised" by the depth of Charlie's knowledge.

UPDATE: The 911 call was reportedly made by Sheen's neighbors -- "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" stars Dr. Paul Nassif and wife Adrienne Maloof-Nassif ... after the couple received a call from someone in Charlie's house advising them of the situation.

Couldn't he get busted for possession? Not that I don't love it I do think he along with Hank Moody is my hero now, but isn't this smearing it in the police force's face a bit?

I myself don't find it surprising that Charlie Sheen knows a lot about porn.
 
How does Emilio rate in the consuming coke and whores department? you don't hear much about him? is it because he didn't take the stage name "sheen"

Charlie's dad, Martin once dined in my favorite college restaurant while shooting his tv show, where he was the president... Can't remember what it is called now.

but he was a real nice chap. I didn't go over to talk to him, but all the people I saw that did, he was very cordial to. I would never be cordial to a stranger interupting my meal. Hell I somtimes get snappy with the waiter, waitress when they ask if "everything is all right". and that's their job.
 
The show was West Wing.
I think Emilio lays low because he makes a lot less than Charlie. I think the last thing Emilio had success in was banging Paula Abdul when she was hot and sane.
