been a long time since i started a thread. i was in a discussion with some friends about cover songs that are better than the original.

i believe that this is the best cover song ever.

The Sonic Youth version of Superstar is outstanding.

I love the Rush EP of covers, using instruments from that time frame. Their grunge version of Buffalo Springfield’s Mr Soul is the best .

Probably a bias pick,seen Chris Cornell 3 times.Once in a small venue where he sang this acoustically.He took an iconic song and changed the tempo and that voice!!!RIP

I will post what I think is the greatest cover of all time because, in my opinion, it’s a complete transformation and is much better than the original.
