should reach triple digits here for the 24th straight day and 73rd time since may 25. one of the things we're trying to do is not have to cook dinner, at least as much as possible. so i've been grilling stuff in the mornings when possible to just be nuked real quick for a warm-up in the evenings. today's grill chore were three huge marinated chicken breasts to be used for a salad Tuesday night and wraps tonight.
-cup sour cream, chopped basil, 3 strips bacon crumbled, few shakes of red win vinegar and black pepper for the spread.
grilled chicken chopped along with mozzarella cheese, chopped red onion, thin-sliced tomatoes and bean sprouts for the wrap's stuffing.
on a completely unrelated note, part of my semi-annual clothes shopping haul this weekend was a new pair of classic hush puppies. and i'm starting a new novel this evening, the help by kathryn stockett. wife had told me before she thought i'd like it, but what convinced me is all of these asshats and there silly reasons why they think the book is racist.
