So Chef Matteo abused the "allora". He prefaced all of his explanations and anecdotes with it. It was adorable.

You could also just use the word "plain". Empty croissant sounds like a prank.

Right but he probably did like us and walked 10 miles a day for a week. Walking around as a tourist adds up real fast. Blue bars are regular Toronto life, green ones are Italy trip:

I'm not really sure how to feel about it but I used a ton of ChatGPT during this trip, it was super useful. Instead of furiously googling for stuff to do I would tell ChatGPT where I was and ask for suggestions. It would ask follow-up questions like "what's your kid's energy level right now?" or...

I'm a cultural Catholic as well. I did a sign of the cross inside the Madonna del Ghisallo chapel, out of habit and respect for my upbringing, I suppose. Also cause I didn't wanna jinx myself and die on the way back down the hill. :handshake:

We went back to the same restaurant for dinner, Razdora. Incredible meal and experience once again. You ask the guy one question about him or his menu and he tells you the entire backstory of the foodstuff or life experience. He learned French while working the kitchen of a 2-star Michelin...

Yep that's a crazy time. I wanna come back and do sub 35. 5 minutes slower than a time trial specialist like Ganna (who's around 185-190lbs) would feel like an accomplishment.

I went to buy a 5 EUR Ghisallo bracelet at the museum but the nice girl at the front desk gifted it to me. 🥳 I was the only visitor there yesterday, the whole staff was visibly happy to see me, lol. It's still the low season here. I passed two cyclists during the whole ride, and I wasn't passed...

Descending went faster 🙃 But even there, it was my first time descending tight, steep switchbacks so I was not super brave. I rode the brakes pretty much all the way down. Makes you appreciate the speed pros ride at. I'm a decently trained-but-overweight amateur cyclist - pros go twice as...

Very slowly. The climb took 50 minutes at 10km/h. I'm too heavy.

^ This is the best meal I've had in Italy so far. All 3 of our meals were remarkable, and the chef/owner is a riot. I love the guy. I shook his hand and thanked him for a memorable meal. I never do that.
