Not a bad guess! That would be the play, but I'm actually staying at a buddy's place in Summerlin (couldn't pass on a free room haha).

Didn't get back til 3ish, and adrenaline is always too high to sleep right after a run like that. Takes a minute to wind down.

Let's keep it rolling today!

My wife was asking me how much of the action do you usually keep for yourself. My guess was 65-75%? Maybe way off.

Yeah it depends on buy-ins/stakes and all that.

Your guess is pretty spot on for what I used to do, was like 90% in smaller events (giving some buddies a sweat) and 70-75% in bigger ones like this.

These last two years I've kept 50%, picked my schedule first then talked dollar amounts with fiancée to see where she's comfortable. Harder to bomb off 3k+ when saving for a house and future kid plans and all that haha.

Perfect world I win big here, make my buddies a bunch of money AND get my girl thinking "hey wait I want more of that next time let's keep a higher %" haha.

P.S. Scratched out two more hours of sleep we are golden now 👍

Sweating out a big one, a season long future or the fifth leg of a 5-teamer is good. Nothing will beat the high of being on track when a horse you own kicks away to win by daylight. But, following Dave with money on the line once hes in the money is a top tier gamble.

I was just thinking how heightened and amazing that Day 2 sweat is as the field keeps dwindling, can't even imagine the vibe on final table Day 3.

Especially when a bunch of the boys come out to sweat it live. Hope I get there at least once some day!
