Thought it might be interesting to chronicle a COVID-19 guys trip to Vegas. This is a gambling forum at its core.

So this trip was originally planned for May 28. C-19 torpedoed that and we pushed it back to July 28- Aug 2

There were 9 guys originally in on the May trip. 19 days from the reschedule date and it looks like we are down to 5 (evidently we have some Vegas Dave's in our crew).

We are staying at Aria. This is the intel we have so far: no masks required at the pools and when you're seated at your restaurant. You are required to wear a mask in the casino.

Craps is capped at 6 players (not bad) and poker at Aria is capped at 6 players (not bad but the mask thing is the wild card as far as how enjoyable that is).

We are T-minus 19 days away before BLAST OFF.

So wait a "Vegas Dave" is what, someone concerned about the spread of COVID-19? I guess I can live with that, I've been called a lot worse lol.

I'm actually heading out to Vegas myself this month! Though won't be in the mix like you and your boys, going to hole up at a buddy's house and grind WSOP bracelet events online.

Good luck on your trip! Rumors swirling they might close down casinos again, hopefully you don't get fucked by shutdowns again.

I was already there :hey:
I thought I reported something.
Yeah some people are saying they might be shutdown again. I'm guessing no, if anything they could downsize/close some places for a while. Another full shutdown would be too much of a disaster. I'm guessing somebody in charge is smart enough to realize that.
In general I would characterize the feel in Vegas passable. Aria was not yet open.

It looks like the swirling rumors were bars closing (not the casinos themselves). I can live with that. I don’t hang out at bars when I’m there anyway.

At this point, I wouldn’t be shocked if the trip falls apart but as of now we are still going.

@VegasDave, good luck in the WSOP. When are you going out to Nevada?

Thank you sir! I'll be out there from 7/20 - 7/27... playing 8 bracelet events total.

I hope the trip goes well, Tron!

Dave, is Jeff Platt involved?

Oh of course, our annual trip! He actually just made a deep run the other night:
