I want to see the limits that brain chemicals can be released through fasting. I will drink water, coffee, and diet coke.

I have time off of everything except for some writing gigs..

I do not plan on driving but on one day....

This will be my log...watch me get in touch with the inner divine or go insane...

I think I did 60 hrs over a decade ago.

it wasn't too hard after getting through the first day/night and falling asleep

I remember a pretty good mood and feeling of well being


go for 2 weeks Val!
 
8 something in the morning...put in those cinnabon things in the oven for family...watching them eat while I have coffee in the morning

I think in a strict fast its just water but my life my rules....just coffee this morning....

No hunger so far despite pastry aromas in house

I understand the point that deriving from a pure fast does not make it so at all. You are correct but in this initial stage I do need energy for family activities today as well as writing. Call it a cop out or whatever...but this is what I am trying to stick to.

Funny story....had an electrician brother who was a vegetarian. Guys asked him that exact questions. He claimed it was a starch so that he could partake of that particular delicacy. Never understood the rationale behind it but if it is low calorie then why not. I may get dizzy doing it but it would be a welcomed distraction from coffee

This sounds like you took my post as satirical. Like maybe I was pointing out some hypocrisy in drinking coffee while saying you are fasting.

No, that wasn't my intention at all. I have no knowledge or judgement about what you are doing and hope you get what you want out of it.

I was simply being whacky, trying to be hilarious and whatnot.

This is pretty enjoyable today....going to play bochi ball with the family out in the cool crisp air.

For my rush I am going to try and improve my chess. I have an app for wagering that is giving me a small profit so I will just play what it recommends and not put work of my own into it. Write what I have to until the contracts are caught up. Go more freelance and less contracts......

The most shallow aspect of this is that this is one of the few things that I can control in my life. I relish that aspect of it...in the end there will be loathing for giving it up but for right now it is comforting knowing that only my decision can affect this.
