Did any of you ever check into that CoverColorado marketplace? I know we talked about it long ago when it was first being put in place and the Obamacare site went down....but I am really looking to get rid of my $610/mo plan

I think I can get the exact same plan on there for at least $200 cheaper if I'm reading it right. I just am not sure I know all the ins and outs. They can't dq (not dairy queen) you for pre-existing conditions can they? Cigna denied me last year for being labeled chronically depressed. I think they have to take me now?


I guess I would be interested in anyone else who has had experience in dealing with their own state's MarketPlace. I only ask them as they are from Colorado also and were going to be looking into it.

TIA if you know anything or have friends who have used it.

The dumb thing promped me about 5x to try to qualify for Medicaid. I don't want Medicaid...I just want a reasonable rate.

Nothing if you truly need it, but considering I do have a source of income, just not reportable wages, I would feel guilty about it. Plus they would probably want bank statements and all sorts of things that I would rather not provide to become eligble. I think also that I have heard that the care is not as good ...that many doctors do not take Medicaid patients but I am not sure if that is true. I doubt they would cover the brand name Wellbutrin but I don't know that for sure. I would rather have Medicaid/medicare still around when I am 90 years old, out of money and need a bed in an overpriced nursing home.

I haven't looked back into it, yet.

My understanding was that if you are eligible for medicaid, then you cannot use the exchange.
