They're gonna need a bigger rink.

Did you buy a camera?

Didn't buy a camera yet. those were taken with my iphone 4s. The rink ended up being smaller than I had hoped. It was supposed to be 17.5 x 27.5, but I ended up with 16.5' x 26.5 feet. It's big enough this year for the boys and a couple more kids. Next year I might try to go with a 20' x 32'

Can I come play?!

lol, you're oldest is about to run over the lil one! The lil one tries so hard, cute kids pucky!

my oldest one got himself banished last night for that very same reason. We were playing a small pickup game, me and the youngest against the oldest, but the oldest Pucker was way too fast, competitive and aggressive around the youngest Pucker. I had to send him off for a "timeout."

chinese kid not allowed?

He's definitely allowed to go on, but he doesn't have a hockey helmet with a face mask or a neck protector. If you don't have those you don't get on. Period!!! He wanted to go on on Saturday when it was -26, but I had to send him on his way. His parents just don't get it. Skate blades, hockey sticks and young children (especially inexperienced children) are a very dangerous combination.

All GL posters are welcome. I have no beefs with anyone here.

Actually, Blitty, why not spend some of that trust fund money on a ticket to NS and I'll give you free hockey shooting lessons. We can also work on that weak left forward pivot that you have. We can also cut your stick down to the proper height i.e. under your chin WHILE ON SKATES.

I'll have to show the oldest Pucker the 3rd video so he understands that his skates came close to the youngest Puckers' hand/fingers.

Kids and skates make me nervous. You seem to keep a close eye though, so that's good. I would certainly show this to the older puck so he can be conscientious of his little brother, I'm sure he would feel just awful if anything were to happen.

Sibling rivalry is a major issue in our home which has moved out onto the rink. Little pucker has been pretty good about it all (the outdoor rink that is), but the older pucker is up to his normal big brother shenanigans.

Yes, skate blades are dangerous. I'm not looking forward to seeing the 2 neighbourhood kids who are brothers out there. They are good skaters/players, but it's more skate blades to worry about and I can't be out there all the time.

Talk about anxiety. I wouldn't be able to take my eye off them for a second, not that it would stop an accident....but you know.

Sibling rivalry, seems to be at its worst/best between sibling of the same gender.
