Yes, we have both had dogs our entire lives. My ex-gf (flyers girl) got a new puppy last spring, and that was a pain but also enjoyable. I think I made a thread about it.

I have a rescue dog from the Humane Society and one from a breeder. I tried getting another from the Humane Society, but the dog was just too damaged. If you go through a breeder, make sure that you are able to meet both parents. It will give you an idea of temperament, markings, medical issues, etc. Also keep in mind what a stressor a dog can be. This morning, I would have been very happy to give Cooper away. He's a motherfokkin' shithead.
