WTF?
First we have the Sox starting supposed stud Lester whose ERA i believe is in the 8's in the month of September against an O's team that seems to be relishing the role of spoiler. I respect the O's for that even though as a Sox fan it is frustrating. Last night's 2 home run performance by Ryan Lavarnway was a fucking abberation and we still almost lost that one. Lester is 14-0 vs Baltimore lifetime. Baltimore starter Fetteccini Alfredo Simon has been awful in September as well. Look for tonight's game to be a final somewhere int he neighborhood of 9-7 Baltimore.
Out in Tampa we have David Price starting. I haven't kept much track of him but I do know he has a tremendous upside and I remember him shutting down Boston with all the chips on table years back. New York counters with Dellin Bettantes. I've never heard of him and I know nothing about him but I'm goign to go with 4-1 Tampa and boom the Sox complete the biggest collapse in MLB history. Yanks tanking it? No. It makes sense to rest your studs anticipating the playoffs so I don't lay that on them. Convenient for them the way it will likely work out? Of course, but they did put themselves in position for that convenience to happen. The sox certainly did not.
Dave Roberts steals 2nd...yeah it goes both ways.
I don't know shit about the National league. someone else can do that if they like.
