I wanted and tried to do this in a video so it would hold your attention longer and not get skimmed over but the truth is I can’t do a straight video. I don’t mind hamming it up and playing the fool but when trying to be serious I just don’t like it.
Ok, I am addressing the resident pros here at GameLive. Mr.X, MonkeyFocker, Reno, Mudcat, Durito, Plommer and any others that are pros that I might have missed. You guys are all professional gamblers and while your approaches may vary and the amount of the year you spend dedicated to making your living may vary you all get the gist of the profession. You guys have a wealth of knowledge and experience and the ability to help make GameLive an even better experience as it moves forward.
As it stands right now, often when a gabling related question is asked the person asking the question will be given a link to a section of the Think Tank. While that is absolutely a great place to find answers to maybe ever question imaginable it is a product of SBR. As we all know most here are here because they no longer wanted to be a part of the whole SBR experience so why would GameLive want to reference something at another website when we have all we need right here?
Now I am not talking about revealing any trade secrets or teaching someone to learn how to learn your trade to the point of where it hurts your livelihood. I understand that the fewer advanced players are out there the stronger your edge remains. But let’s be real here, most guys that ask a question or want to learn something are guys like me. They are guys that are interested for the moment but aren’t dedicated enough or disciplined enough or capable of comprehending the nuances that are involved with elevating their game.
While some may learn something most just will get tired and lose interest. The most important thing though is it will promote GameLive. Instead of directing traffic to the Think Tank and more importantly SBR or like minded sites you will be able to point the interested party to a section or a post right here at GameLive.
What’s more, this put’s you guys in a position to be the guys behind what it will become. Instead of names like Ganchrow and other members of the Think Tank, guys like Durito and Mr.X and MonekyFocker and Mudcat and RenoCool will be synonymous with a GameLive version of the same.
It would be an enormous undertaking to try and recreate all the articles and countless threads of information stored in the Think Tank and no-one would ask that of any of you. Instead though when a question is asked and it is something that can be answered without hindering you personal market if get’s answered and cataloged here. Maybe it gets its own section, I don’t know, I’m not trying to tell anyone what to do with the site. I am just trying to make a suggestion that would make GameLive more self sufficient and independent from the other forums.
I don’t know if any of you were there at the beginning of some of the other forums or if you had the opportunity to help improve upon them but you were and are here at GameLive. You guys are in a position to be the forefathers of knowledge for the generations of GameLiver’s to come.
