Joe, I took that one down with all of the older male GL posters in mind. Although I may be 10-20 years younger than some of you guys, I still consider myself an old creepy guy at heart. That young lady was a contribution to you, plommer, mudcat, mr.monkey, mmike, bread, fairwarning, mr.x, reno, wally, and smitch.

I find the topic dubious. I mean yes I have limited agreement with it - there are repetitive elements at gamelive - and some of it does fall on topics I am not personally interested in - but it is by far the least offensive forum I have seen from that standpoint.


There is a much higher concentration of funny, creative, original people posting here than anywhere I have seen. There is much less spam and shtick and empty noise.

No, quite the contrary. I've learned a valuable lesson from this thread.

GameLive is clearly not the place that I should vent about my mood or problems. Despite the fact that I've done very little of it over the last four months, I still have an unshakable reputation as a sad-sack whiny loser.

From this moment forward, I will not post a single depressing thing that I am feeling or experiencing. Nothing but sports talk and light hearted/joking stuff. If on the same day Max the Dog and both of my pet frogs die AND my girlfriend dumps me, if I post on GameLive, it will be in good spirits.

So thank you guys for making me realize that the internet is a stupid fucking place to vent if you don't want to be written off as a whiny piece of shit. I may never, ever escape that reputation, but moving forward I won't add to it.
