McCartney was on The Daily Show a couple weeks ago. He was plugging a song he was doing - for a video game.

The clip they played of the song sounded just awful.

I guess doing a song for a popular video game is a damn big thing these days - HUGE - but it rubs me the wrong way and seems so cheesy. Like, for a Beatle. Plus the song was so bad. I dunno. Maybe if I heard it a few more times it might grow on me. But I don't think so. I think it was just bad.

I had the same thought as the Twitter jesters when I saw McCartney's interview about that video game. Man, that could be his big break.

I had less faith in humanity when Neil Armstrong died and the Twitkids were going who the fok is that?!? This time I believe they're just trolling. McCartney is still quite active.

Although I prefer Lennon over McCartney I would say:


McCartney
Lennon
Harrison
Ringo
 
I say the band is greater than the sum of its parts.

Lennon by himself was too hippie, McCartney too cheesy/needy, Harrison too cerebral and Ringo too Ringo.

As a group and with George Martin's classical influence, they were the best songwriting consortium ever.
