Just watched a news special about these people who have given false confessions after long interrogations by police. Some have confessed to murders and things to which they have not even been accused. Some, who were later found innocent, were sentenced to death. What gives here? I can't imagine being so mentally beat down that I would cop to something I didn't do...especially a very serious crime.
Obviously a psychological component? fatigue?
