Poor Bread, came over to Peeps yesterday, got trashed. Thought I would take a chance at suffering the same fate here, saying something I believe in, whether others here agree with it or not.

I just want to say I ALWAYS put down SBR as who referred me to their site, whether they are on the "pulldown" for that book or not.

Why?

Simple. They are the only ones I have found who can actually do something in the case of a book dispute. They have helped me three times with problems in the last few years, and I appreciate it.

(And yes, SBR John is an ass, but who cares).

good to see you posting peep.

A thoughtful and well-presented point peep. I also have a certain amount of respect for SBR_John and the good he has done over the years.

I never had any illusions about him being flawless. It was certainly very eye-opening how flawed and irrational he showed himself to be during The Great SBR_John Tilt of 2010. That was quite a train wreck. It really brought to mind that old saying about how it is better to keep quiet and be thought a fool than to open your mouth and prove it.

But whatever, he is just some dude. He is not all bad. Hell he hired me at one point, which shows his willingness to have straight, unadulterated talk for the good of players on his forum. He never tried to influence me to say good things about sponsors. He never flew banners for BETonSPORTS where many others did.

But about that tilt . . . :duh:

As for my position on signing up through SBR links, I have done it many times. I guess because I win, I am not doing him any favors. I'm not even sure how that works actually.

But if I were to sign up at a new book today, I probably wouldn't think to sign up through an SBR link.

Do what you have to do, Peep. I honestly don't blame you. Although, with them flying the Rebatewager banner now, I'm beginning to really question their effectiveness as a watchdog. There is no mention of Blackie's U.S. citizenship and the danger that puts player funds in.

Yeah, they did many good things in the past.
Maybe all the points and line charts have gone to Johns head.
Bateman's and Vendito's visits remind me how I don't miss that place.

Yeah, I don't know how good I am on their sheets either Mud, but WTF, all the same to me.

I think Justin, Lou, Josh, Bill are hard working and have good contacts at the books. 95% of the time I don't care about that. But when the time comes I need help, that is pretty well the only place I would know to go.

Some of their posters are questionable, although I do have a soft spot in my heart for Bateman, since I did get him on the straight and narrow for a few weeks. 10 SBR points Pat for that, nada mas, OK?

Lou's a harmless kid who plays this, well, I dunno what to call what he pretends to be online. CrazyLou not so much.

John's a complete idiot.

Dozer seems to be good people.

I'm hungry.

Trashed by who? Lol. I love ogd. A bunch of guys I've never heard of who know my entire history. I finally made it.

HI sl55!!

Reno, Bateman is healed with LOVE. He's a changed man. I am sure of it.
