I dunno who has heard or not but we had an ice storm in Toronto over the weekend and power was knocked out to our apartment for 48 hours.

I am thankful that we have a bsmt apt so the temperature did not fall below 60F and we had tons of candles and batteries and radios etc.

Very fucking glad it came back on in the middle of the night and that I am sitting here now having a nice coffee and blabbing to you guys.

I heard some pretty bad stories on the radio about how poorly others are doing so I hope power comes back on for everyone soon.

Brrr.

That blows Quincy, I thought I saw something on your fb hang in there friend

If there's one thing you know about us it's that we're good for some blabbing

Flyers 9 in a row at home now and shooting up the standings pal; is Mason the best bargain in hockey this year?

check out Smith's own goal here, classic, 5 feet in the air down his pants and in the net, in his pants

I think there are some other pics in the snow thread Q...

Glad you have power! We also had the worst ice storm last March. 3 days w/o power..%90 of the city lost it. It sucked soooo bad. I feel your pain.

I am glad to hear you were able to remain somewhat warm, and are have power back. Nothing worse than being without power.

Ok. I am sure there are worse things, but when you are wandering about in a cold dark house, it doesn't seem like it.

Even though power is back, I am stil planning on buying a 1500 W gas generator this week. They have them on sale (if you find one) for $199 plus tax. It can supply 1200 W of continuous power which is enough for an oil radiator on low setting plus a fridge and a couple lights. I am going to keep it in the storage locker and I can move it out to the garage if the power goes out again ever. The power has been out now twice this year in our apartment for 48 hours and I am not going to deal with that again.
